Dear Readers,
Thank you for subscribing to my blog and following my rambling thoughts each Monday! It's humbling to know that a community of people are encouraged by God's Word and my reflections on it.
This summer, I have a sabbatical, like a teacher's "summer break," only for a pastor instead. I will be stepping back from my responsibilities as a pastor of LakeView Church and taking an extended period of rest. I believe successful ministry happens not out of a full tank but out of the overflow of a cup that is running over (see Psalm 23:5). I am asking the Lord to refill my cup to overflowing during my sabbatical.
Through the summer, I won't be consistently posting new material to my blog or sending out weekly devotional emails. I may occasionally share a great song or resource I run across, but I won't be creating new content. I would love for you to stay subscribed and be here with me when I resume blogging in September. I also understand if you choose to unsubscribe and move on to other pastures.
My blog will always be free. I will never hide content behind a paywall or work ads into my emails or podcasts. I will never ask for donations from my readers. If you find my musings helpful, feel free to share them with others. At the end of the day, if the Lord uses my thoughts to encourage you in some way, that is reward enough for me.
To God be the glory, great things He hath done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.
Following Jesus together,
Andy
